At MHCCI, we strive to fulfill our mission by improving the overall health and well being of individuals with mental illness and/or developmental disabilities and in so doing improve the health of our communities. We do this by providing high quality behavioral health care and rehabilitation services to assist those we serve on their path to recovery and community integration. We listen to the voice of our customers, embrace them as partners in their care, and offer evidence-based treatment and rehabilitation approaches. At MHCCI, all decision making is guided by our mission to improve the health of the people and communities we serve.
To be a national leader for excellence in patient care means that we strive for excellence by:
- Adopting and implementing best practices and evidence-based treatment approaches including the Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Initiative, play therapy interventions, Wellness Recovery Action Plan, among others;
- Sponsoring nationally known experts to our employees and central Illinois professionals to ensure access to top quality training opportunities;
- Seeking out and reaching for the top percentile in benchmarking measurements that compare us to similar organizations including participation in the Press Ganey Patient Satisfaction survey and the Community Behavioral Healthcare Association of Illinois Benchmarking initiative;
- Reaching high levels of fidelity standards in Assertive Community Treatment, Individual Placement & Support and other programs which have strict standards of compliance;
- Maintaining the highest accreditation standards possible from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) which recognizes agencies for superior standards of care, value, and optimal clinical outcomes;
- Forming partnerships with primary care and other medical specialists to develop a medical home for children with disabilities, and provide integrated treatment of co-morbid behavioral and physical health problems;
- Assisting and providing leadership on mental health and developmental disabilities issues throughout central Illinois;
- Providing holistic services which help individuals with serious and persistent mental illness, developmental disabilities, and serious emotional disturbance build productive satisfying lives;
- Engaging in quality improvement and strategic planning to ensure great consumer outcomes and positioning for the future;
- Creating a great place to work as evidenced by high employee satisfaction scores and obtaining the Employer of Choice award; and
- Putting the voice of the customer front and center in all that is done at MHCCI.
