Join us for the Road to Recovery 5K Run/3K Walk
Thank you to all who participated in our Road to Recovery Run/Walk.
Lace up your sneakers for a morning of fun and fitness and help us raise awareness about mental illness! Families, groups and individuals are welcome.
National Alliance on Mental Illness Springfield and The Children’s Center, a program of Mental Health Centers of Central Illinois, are cosponsoring the second annual Road to Recovery 5K Run/3K Walk on Saturday, May 14 at Washington Park in Springfield. All proceeds will support future NAMI Springfield educational and awareness events.
Registrations are recommended to be turned in by May 4, but participants can also sign up on the day of the event beginning at 7 a.m. The registration fees are as follows: $10 5K Run (individual), $20 5K Run (5-person group), $10 3K Walk (individual) and $20 3K Walk (5-person group). Registration and the run/walk starting point is the picnic shelter near the tennis courts and playground.
Road to Recovery will feature entertainment by “Sunshyne The Clown,” “Tim the Twister” and Capitol Radio Group’s Friends & Neighbors Program sponsored by Heartland Credit Union.
