Suicide: Prevention, Risk Assessment and Intervention
On Friday, April 23, Mariann Blacconiere, LCSW, presented a one-day conference Suicide: Prevention, Risk Assessment and Intervention to 160 professionals at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL.
Ms. Blacconiere is nationally recognized in the field of suicide prevention. She provides training throughout the Midwest and is known for her dynamic presentation style. Audiences benefit from her expertise as she takes an interactive approach to presenting the knowledge and skills necessary for preventing suicides. Ms. Blacconiere serves as the lead suicide prevention coordinator for the Great Lakes region of the Veterans Integrated Services Network. She is also the coordinator for Suicide Prevention and the Prevention and Management of Disruptive Behavior at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs' Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital.
