West Lake Center Showcases Art of Clients and Staff

More than 150 people attended West Lake Center's 2nd Annual Art Show on Friday, Sept. 18. The Art Show was expanded this year to include the talent of clients from all MHCCI sites of care and staff also were invited to submit art. More than 170 pieces of art including drawings, paintings, photographs and jewelry were submitted by 58 artists. The event was open to the public for the first time.
A dedication of the Seasons of Change wall mural was held during the art show. The mural was completed by local artist Toni Freesen and clients of West Lake Center. The project was made possible by the City Arts Residency Program, which is partially funded by the Springfield Area Arts Council and the City of Springfield.
