The high quality of services offered by Mental Health Centers of Central Illinois (MHCCI) was again confirmed when it earned a CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) three-year accreditation on its recent survey. CARF accredits only those human service and rehabilitation programs that meet their rigorous standards.
The survey report said, “The president, management, and staff have clearly made a strong commitment to excellence in the field of behavioral health, rehabilitation and employment services. MHCCI has earned a three-year accreditation. The administration and staff members are commended for the positive efforts they have made in pursuit of accreditation.”
“We are very pleased with this report, which recognized MHCCI with 24 strengths and six exemplary commendations,” said Brian Allen, president of Mental Health Centers of Central Illinois and vice-president of Memorial Behavioral Health.
CARF states that an accredited organization must be able to recognize and measure improvement as well as continually try to improve its services. “We will be taking full advantage of the survey results and addressing CARF’s recommendations for specific areas of improvement to ensure that we continue to provide a great patient experience,” Allen said.
Mental Health Centers of Central Illinois offers a full range of behavioral health care and rehabilitation services in Logan, Mason, Menard, Scott and Sangamon counties and is an affiliate of Memorial Health System.
