The Children’s Center is a unique place with a team of highly qualified mental health professionals gathered under one roof. We treat children with difficult problems such as depression or problems with attention or hyperactivity. Service is provided to children and adolescents from ages 4 to 17 in three sites of care – Jacksonville, Lincoln and Springfield.

Services are client-centered and family-focused.
Every child deserves a thorough, comprehensive assessment before treatment decisions are made.
If therapy is appropriate, we will develop an individual treatment plan. The plan will let everyone know how often the child should come in for a visit. It will outline the type of therapy the child will receive and the family’s involvement in that process.
The rights and dignity of the child and family are protected within the guidelines of the Illinois Confidentiality Act.
The Children’s Center staff will assist in finding resources throughout the community to meet the needs of the child and family.
