Clients of MHCCI are protected by a number of policies and regulations.
These include:
* Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Confidentiality Act.
* AIDS Confidentiality Act.
* Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act (HIPAA).
* Declaration of Human Rights.
* Rights to Treatment adopted by MHCCI.

All of the documents listed above are available when a person enrolls in a treatment program.

The MHCCI staff member and the client, together, will:
* Decide on the approach to treatment.
* Determine the treatment plan, including the frequency and duration of client involvement.
* Involve family member(s) or significant others in treatment.
