Mental Health Centers of Central Illinois

Diagnosis and Treatment

Evaluation and diagnosis is the first step in understanding our patient’s individual needs. This process includes initial and ongoing medical and psychiatric examinations by a psychiatrist and other treatment team members. Our team, along with the patient and family members, will work together to determine the best course of treatment. We value the input of our patients and hope that each patient and his/her family will participate in the decision-making regarding care.

Therapeutic opportunities include individual, group and family therapy, educational and recreational groups and patient education.
