Psychosocial Rehabilitation
This program offers many skill-building options to consumers with psychiatric disabilities and serious emotional problems. Treatment is available a minimum of five hours per day, five days a week. The number of hours per day and the number of days a person would participate depends on the individual’s goals. Although the program is usually conducted in groups, time is also available for meeting one-on-one with a counselor.

Participants are given support, education, and training in acquiring the skills needed to cope with existing problems. Groups may include anger management, coping with depression, decision making, or living skills (e.g. cooking, housekeeping, etc.). Participants develop a schedule of classes that address their specific needs and preferences.

These programs are available at MHCCI in Lincoln, MHCCI in Jacksonville and MHCCI in Springfield.
